A friend suggested I draw a refrigerator and then a piece of nice scenery. Such is the tale behind this. According to him it is symbolic of the relationship between technology's integration into nature (or perhaps vice-versa).

Sketch of Mew (Bis) from the game Jet Grind Radio (Jet Set Radio; silly localization), a game which I am currently obsessed with ever since I dug out my Dreamcast. What a classic game. I've mainly been using this character. I'd like to color this but I got overzealous on trying to get the face perfect (as you can tell I gave up on making it look decent) so I'm too tired to do any sort of decent work. I should really stop beginning my drawings at 3 AM.

My friend has a chat where he draws using a fairly simple paint tool. It had been a while since I'd been there and used it myself but I decided to do a little drawing of Alex from Street Fighter 3. The muscles and background make no sense but I enjoy the style of shading I used, looks comic-book-ish. Dont remember how long it took.

I've been playing a lot of Demon's Souls lately and the atmosphere is really striking to me. I like how the character's face is always illuminated from below by the crystal on their waist. I'm horrible at doing that kind of lighting, especially on faces, so I tried. How awful. About 45-60 minutes.

Hour-long sketch of a building I recall from a dream - a large, Gothic-style Coliseum. Of course, the drawing does absolutely no justice to the awesome scope of what I dreamed, but it will have to do. I'd like to come back and paint this.
Oh, and the lack of a christmas post is only because I did my drawing on pen and paper at my grandmothers' house, and haven't been able to get a working scanner at the moment. I may double-post when I get to scan it in.

Boy, this is hardly my image anymore, but it's still a fun practice sketch. I love how lively Amano's designs are, so much texture. I can't hope to ape that kind of thing, yet.

~45 minutes in Painter. I saw an image of a flower put through a scanning electron microscope. It was zoomed up to about 200 µm and was pretty interesting, I think. It's funny how exotic and interesting normal things seem when you look close enough.
